Welcome to all Transportation Miniature Enthusiasts!

The Bridgestone Collection was started in 1976 to form an eclectic cross-section of transportation miniatures from around the world. Today, it includes over 35,000 items dating from the 1950's to those that can be found in current production. In 1994, TBC Custom Replicas was formed to provide law enforcement agency, EMS provider, and fire department clients with customized replicas of their vehicles for their personnel. Replicas were custom created to client specifications and in many cases scale graphics packages were developed utilizing the reflective and non-reflective materials found on the prototype vehicles. Replicas were later produced for other entities that utilized fleet vehicles. TBC-Custom Replicas have been created in scales ranging from 1:12th to 1:87th. Subjects have included aircraft and water-craft, as well as, motor and rail vehicles.

Today, replicas continue to be produced for resale and non-resale purposes. 1/87th scale vehicles and electronic lighting control components for model railroading are produced under the heading of the Northwoods Railroad Company and Northern Lights Illumination.

In the left-hand column of this page you will find multiple pages of categorized photo albums containing hundreds of transportation miniatures from throughout the world. Images posted here on Diecast Nutz derive from either TBC, TBC-CR, or NRC unless noted otherwise. If you love scale transportation miniatures you are sure to find these photo albums interesting and entertaining, so check them out and enjoy!.

We love transportation miniatures of all shapes and sizes and we salute Diecast Nutz for providing this outlet and a great community site for enthusiasts!

Profile Information

What is your favorite casting?
It would have to be castings, not casting. With a collection spanning from the 1950's to present day, covering multiple scales from over 100 manufacturers, I have several favorites and it's impossible to single out one.
What casting manufacturer do you collect the most?
By the sheer number of offerings it would be Hot Wheels, although the rest of the collection out numbers them.
What would you consider your "Holy Grail" or casting you want the most and still don't have it yet?
Perhaps the pre-production 1956 Chrysler Imperial New York City parade car in 43rd scale by Vitesse.
Who reccommended you to this site??
I found it by searching the internet..

Thank for your kind words. .and looking at all the images (I wanted them documented incase of damage or theft) I have been collecting for about 14 years now.. . the latest pieces I have not documented yet...but hope too. I;'m taking it you are in GB? I'm just outside Chicago, USA. I look for the used and well loved pieces. I think they have more character. I know I have more to document and I messed up the system.

Greenlight Precision Collection Launch

Posted on February 12, 2016 at 9:35pm 0 Comments

It isn't every day that I would view a die-cast launch with such mixed emotions, however,  Greenlight's release (or as they call it) a re-launch of the 1:18 Cadillac ambulances, limousines, and hearses formerly produced by Precision Miniatures has put me in this position. Having spent the better part of a decade tracking…
